Color the Universe!

On Friday, August 7th, I tabled for Aldrich Astronomical Society at Create 508’s Color the City festival, along with two other volunteers. It was 90 degrees, really humid, and boy was I feeling it. I didn’t let it slow me down, though, and we set up a table with painting and coloring activities for kids. We hung up photos taken by Aldrich members of nebulae and galaxies to inspire the kids. Everyone seemed to have so much fun! I hope to do it again next year, though fingers crossed that it isn’t so hot again, because that was a bit nasty.
